NeoOffice is an office suite for Mac that is based on OpenOffice and LibreOffice. With NeoOffice, you can view, edit, and save OpenOffice documents, LibreOffice documents, and simple Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents.

Two engineers created NeoOffice in 2003 when they made OpenOffice run natively on OS X for the first time. Since then, the NeoOffice engineers have continually added improvements to NeoOffice that you will not find in OpenOffice or LibreOffice such as:

This version of NeoOffice fixes the following bugs:

• When running on macOS Big Sur, NeoOffice would sometimes freeze for a few seconds when clicking on the menubar or pressing menu shortcut keys
• When “Prefer tabs when opening documents” is set to “Always” in the macOS System Preferences application, NeoOffice would fail to release a native tab’s memory when closing the last two native tabs within a window
• When “Prefer tabs when opening documents” is set to “Always” in the macOS System Preferences application, NeoOffice would sometimes move and/or resize an existing window after opening a document in a new native tab
• NeoOffice would crash when changing the page style in certain text documents due to LibreOffice bug #107126
• NeoOffice would crash when deleting certain combinations of spreadsheet rows and columns due to LibreOffice bug #108788
• Certain .doc and .docx files would show blinking text when opened in NeoOffice due to LibreOffice bug #92045
